The Midmar Men’s Shed plays an active role in general maintenance of The Midmar Hall, the surrounding grounds, and wider area. These included maintenance of the drains & gutters, and cutting the grass around The Hall. We have also overseen the removal and re-planting of 100 old conifer trees surrounding the Midmar Hall.
– Re-surfacing The Midmar Hall’s stage floor
– Insulating The Hall loft space
– Re-build the Midmar water pump shelter
– Replaced raised garden beds at Midmar School
– Rebuilt half of the Comers footbridge (2022), other half planned for 2023.
– Foot path improvement and maintenance around the village
– Initiative to plant 1,000 trees in the local area
